Fire Control Technician (FT/FTG/FTB) Rating Challenge Coin

This challenge coin from SubMerch brings acclaim to those crewmembers who toil in the control room, tracking contacts. FT's on-board submarines and surface ships work on computer screens to track enemy vessels. FTs also are responsible for firing the torpedoes and / or missiles from a US Navy vessel. This challenge coin represents the many hours of training with computers, plus the co-ordination with the Sonar Technicians (ST's) who locate the contact to begin the process of 'find em', track em', kill em'', with the Torpedomen (TM's rounding out the Weapons Department) in the United States Navy. 

Our coin is diamond shaped, and the front has a bronze rope around the edge. A skeleton dons a pair of sound powered phones with a torpedo and Tomahawk land attack missle behind his head on a background of blue. At the bottom, a set of enlisted dolphins can be found. The rear of our coin is a door that opens on 2 hinges and is held in place with a magnet. The outside of this door has 'US Submarine Force', 'USN', and an enlisted crow. Inside this reveal, there is 'Fire Control Technician', FT rating symbol and Mintonator (my boat nickname). The final surface has more bronze rope around the outside, an Akula submarine in cross hairs, on a background of a bulls eye.

Our coin is made of zinc and quality enamels for a high gloss finish.
